History

Loral International Schools experienced a humble beginning with the establishment of the Nursery and Primary Schools in 1976, after the Proprietress Chief (Mrs.) Loretta Nwosu returned from her studies in Scotland. Today, Loral has metamorphosed into five Schools, namely:

* The Nursery and Primary Schools Day, Festac Town (1978)
* The Secondary School, Day, Festac Town (2005)
* The Nursery and Primary Schools, Day and Boarding, Igbesa (2002)
* The Secondary School, Boarding, Igbesa (1994)
* The Cambridge A/Level College, Boarding, Igbesa

Loral International Secondary School started in Festac Town in 1992 with Day and Boarding facilities. The hostels were sited then at Ayetoro, Ijanikin and 21 Road, Festac Town, both in Lagos. At a point in time when facilities were becoming over-stretched as a result of population explosion, a large expanse of land was acquired at Igbesa, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Boarding Secondary School was completely moved to Igbesa. Again, when it was becoming increasingly difficult for parents to commute from distant locations to our Igbesa Campus, the Day Secondary School was conceptualized and moved to Festac Town in September 1999, while Igbesa became fully the Boarding school for loral International School. Today, all the boarding students both primary, secondary and 'A' Level schools are in Igbesa Campus where they enjoy a home away from home. The Day School was approved by the State and Federal Government in 2005.
