ADMISSION POLICY

The admission policy in Loral is flexible but highly structured. Admission is granted strictly to children above nine years of age. Admission is accorded students based on their performance at a well organized Common Entrance Exam that takes place at both the Day and Boarding Schools. The cut off mark for Candidates at the exam is 40%.

Admission is strictly into Basic 7 and SS1 Classes. Admission into Basic 8, 9 and SS2 is based on a special consideration by the schools’ academic office, headed by the  Senior VP Academics of our Schools. Subjects on which Basic 7 Students are tested during the Common Entrance Exam are English Language, Mathematics, General Paper (Social Studies, Science and Current affairs).

Subjects for Entrance into SS1 include: English Language, Mathematics, General Paper (French, Business Studies, Social Studies, Intro Tech, Computer Science and Current Affairs).

Scholarship consideration is reserved for the best two performing Basic 7 Candidates at the Common Entrance Exams.
